Dissertation


A dissertation is a research project undertaken as a part of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree depending on the nature of the program. Typically, a dissertation allows student to present their findings in response to particular innovative idea.

Guidelines:

    • An Orientation of the related activities to be taken up will be given before the commencement of the Dissertation.
    • The students forgoing Dissertation will be interviewed by the concerned Faculty experts to allot the area of Research & Internal Supervisors 3-6 months prior to commencement of Dissertation as decided by the University.
    • For UG Dissertation, the Organization/ Institute/ Reputed Industrial Houses empanelled by the University are allotted as per the area of research.
    • For PG Dissertation, the Govt. / Non-Govt. Funding Agency empanelled by the University is allotted for the submission of project proposal.
    • The student would be formulating a proposal under the guidance of Internal Supervisor as per the guidelines of the sponsoring agencies/ bodies for submission of the proposals for grant.
    • After the allotment, Recommendation letter is given to the student for contacting the allotted Organization for starting the dissertation work.
    • After the commencement of the dissertation the internal supervisor will contact the dissertation supervisor regularly for collecting the feedback of the student.
    • It is Compulsory for UG Students to Publish at least one research Papers and two research papers for PG students in UGC Listed/Scopus/Pub Med/Web of Science/Indian Citation Indexing Journal on the topic related to their dissertation.
    • Once the dissertation is complete the student will present the findings in the department and submit the report in the prescribed format of the University.
    • Acceptance or rejection of the submission to be brought in the light before the officers authorized by the University from time to time.
    • The Dissertation should be University Innovation and Incubation centre oriented leading to patents and startups.
    • List of empanelled Organizations/Institutions/ Reputed Industrial House/ Govt. Funding Agency/Non-Govt. Funding Agency in specified area will be notified time to time for specific programmes by the University.

Project

Internship


An internship is a work experience undertaken in an organization/hospital  for a certain period of time done as partial fulfillment of completion of Degree of  the University.

Guidelines:

    • An Orientation of the related activities to be taken up will be given before the commencement of the Internship.
    • The students forgoing internship will be interviewed by the concerned Faculty experts to allot the Organization & Internal Supervisors 3-6 months prior to commencement of internship as decided by the University.
    • After the allotment, Recommendation letter is given to the student for contacting the allotted Organization for starting the internship.
    • After the commencement of the internship, the internal supervisor will contact the internship supervisor regularly for collecting the feedback of the student.
    • Once the internship is complete, the student will submit the internship Report, prepared in University Format, to the concerned department of the University.
    • Acceptance or rejection of the submission of Internship Report is to be brought in the light before the officers authorized by the University from time to time.

Industrial Training


Industrial Training is an important academic activity for providing students practical exposures in Industry/Origination.

Guidelines:

    1. An Orientation of the related activities to be taken up will be given before the commencement of the Training.
    2. The students forgoing industrial training will be interviewed by the concerned Faculty experts to allot the industry & Internal Supervisors 3-6 months prior to commencement of training as decided by the University.
    3. After the allotment, Recommendation letter is given to the student for contacting the allotted Organization for starting the training.
    4. After the commencement of the training the internal supervisor will contact the industry/organization regularly for collecting the feedback of the student.
    5. Once the training is complete the student will present the exposure in the department and submit the report in the prescribed format of the University.
    6. Acceptance or rejection of the submission to be brought in the light before the officers authorized by the University from time to time.
    7. A certificate of completion from the Industry/origination in which the student has undergone training is to be submitted with training report.

Industrial Visit


Industrial Visit is a part of the Education, during which students visit industry/originations and get insight of various operation of that industry/origination.


Guidelines:

    • An Orientation of the related activities to be taken up will be given before the commencement of the Visit.
    • The students forgoing Industry visit will be provided by the department as per need of the practical knowledge.
    • Students has to submit a report of activities performed while Industrial Visit.
    • Acceptance or rejection of the submission to be brought in the light before the officers authorized by the University from time to time.

Paper Publication


A substantial piece of academic writing for dissemination of findings acquired as a result of research or review activities.


Guidelines:

    • An Orientation of the related activities to be taken up will be given before the commencement of the Paper Publication
    • For paper publication the student has to register six months prior to the publication along with its topic. UG students have to publish at least one research paper in UGC Listed/Scopus/PubMedG/Web of Science/Indian Citation Indexing Journal till the completion of their program.
    • PG students have to publish at least two papers research paper (one every year) in UGC Listed/Scopus/Pub Med/Web of Science/Indian Citation Indexing till the completion of their program.
    • Research students have to publish the research papers as per norms/guidelines specified by UGC.
    • UG students have to present at least one research paper in University/National/International conferences.
    • PG students have to present at least one research paper in University/National/International conferences.
    • Research students have to present papers in the conferences as per norms/guidelines specified by UGC.

Conference/ Symposium


An academic conference or symposium is a conference for knowledge dissemination, knowledge sharing and sharing innovations, inventions and research. Together with academic or scientific journals, proceedings conferences provide an important channel for exchange of information on defined area of concern.
Guidelines:

    • UG students have to participate in at least two University/National/International conferences related to their discipline.
    • PG students have to participate in at least four University/National /International conferences related to their discipline.
    • Research students have to participate in conferences as per norms/guidelines specified by UGC.

A.  Scout Guide: Scout Guide units are separate although they have some coeducational activities such    as Jamborees, rallies, and conferences. Handicapped boys and girls also participate in the Scouting program. The main activities of Scout/ Guide are:

    1. First Aid
    2. Social Service
    3. Primary Medical
    4. Camp Tools
    5. Signals of Hand and Whistle
    6. Basic Knots
    7. Drill
    8. All activities will be act as per State and Centre Government

B. NSS: National Service Scheme: The mission of NSS, is to  includes understand the community in which they work, understand themselves in relation to their community,  Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process. It Includes following Activities:

  1. Students undertake various programmers in the adopted villages, college/school campuses urban slums during 15 days.
  2. The NSS volunteers may be involved in the projects undertaken
  3.  Tree plantation in the premises, awareness programmes on drug abuse, AIDS, population education and other projects.
  4. The NSS volunteers may work on campus projects for not exceeding 180 hours in a year
  5. The rural projects generally include the working of NSS volunteers in adopted villages for eradication of illiteracy,
  6.  watershed management and wasteland development,
  7. agricultural operations, health, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation,
  8.  mother and child care, family life education,
  9. gender justice, development of rural cooperatives, savings drives, construction of rural roads,
  10.  Campaign against social evils etc round the year.
  11. National Days and Celebrations National Programmes round the year.
  12. All activities will act according to as per State and Central Government norms.

C. Red Ribbon Activity: The Red Ribbon, as an awareness ribbon, is used as the symbol for the solidarity of people living with HIV/AIDS, and for the awareness and prevention of drug abuse and drunk driving. These activities will be performed round the year as per University Curriculum and State and Central Government norms. Activities of Red Ribbon are:

    • HIV AIDS Awareness rally
    • Candle Rally
    • Lecture’s on AIDS & Society.
    • Health Checking Camp.
    • Blood testing Camp.
    • Blood denotation Camp.
    • Street Play on AIDS.
    • Poster Competition
